[IBPM 8.0.1] UCA random behavior ... urgent question

I have done several tests with UCA's, with contrasting results. I have built an UCA in order to start several event driven subprocesses, which also use shared objects. Each subprocess uses its own correlation string.
The process works fine.
I have copied and pasted the same process to another process application, and used the same identical rules. I decided to use another UCA for the same job, renaming the former one.
While in the first case (working UCA's), using the Process Inspector, the event driven subprocesses (associated to the UCA), represented by blocks, always have their borders "lightened" (as if the uca are always listening), in the second process, the event driven suprocesses are never "lightened".
What could the problem be?
Why, with same identical kind of processes, in one case the UCA's are working, and in the other they aren't?
Anyone is having difficulties or random behaviours with UCA's, and how did you overcome any kind of problems?
I think your "random" behavior is more likely tied to the cut and paste operation than to the UCA's themselves. (Actually in this case I think you really mean "Intermediate Message Event" or IME, not UCA, as the UCA is not represented in the Event diagram). While copy and paste is a really nice feature, it is also apparently a very difficult one to implement properly in the Process Designer, and I have a ton of various problems connected to cut and paste bugs.
I would recommend that you try and simply delete one of the IME's in your diagram and create a new one in its place, hooked up to the UCA you want to use and see if this eliminates the problem you are seeing. If not, post back and we will see if we can figure out what is happening. A picture of the 2 BPDs might help in that case.

Hello Andrew,
thanks for the answer, you were very helpful. I wanted to do some test before answering back, and the same you found, also applies to duplicating a process app with a Filenet ECM server: the server wasn't working for the same reason (copy-paste), and I had to delete and create another one to have the connection between IBPM 8 and Filenet Cmis work again.
Thanks
Tony

Just as an aside, did you copy by actually highlighting and using copy/paste, or did you copy by right clicking next to the item in the drop down menu on the main frame and selecting the "copy" option? It might be useful to know which caused the problem.
