Radar Chart Hide Effect

Hi All,
I was wondering if it was possible to have a hide effect that wipes the radar from the screen in a clockwise or counter clockwise manner.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Hi,
It should be possible using charting effects, see "Using effects in a radar chart" section at
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/elixent/v3r0/index.jsp?topic=/com.ibm.ilog.elixir.doc/Content/Visualization/Documentation/Flex/Elixir_Enterprise/_pubskel/ps_elixir_corecomponents189.html
The following sample shows an example of a zoom effect applied to a radar chart:

So I understand how that works, in fact on my radar chart I have a series interpolation effect working. But what I was wondering is if the whole chart starts out as visible = false, if I can add a wipe effect (or some other effect) that reveals the chart in a clockwise fashion. So like starting at 3 o'clock and moving clockwise the chart would be revealed over a set duration via a closckwise motion.

Hi,
There is no built-in function for that. However it should be possible to write a custom mask effect and assign it to the 'hideEffect' style property of the radar chart.
See MaskEffect documentation for more informations.
Hope this helps,
Damien
Radar chart questions are exactly attractive for me. I'd seen many interesting problems with the radar chart series from some chart UI control. This is also an interesting one. And it is insightful.
